Join The January Jeans Club 2014 (and don't gain weight this holiday season!)

This is *your* invitation to January Jeans Club 2014. Be committed to long-term weight loss before you eat during this indulgent holiday season.

Recently, I posted a photo of me in skinny jeans! (It's on the left side of the blog, if you missed it.) Thank you for all of the super nice comments! That was so nice of you!!! Don't forget, however, that I was size 16 for many years, but only got to this size by having no excuses for overeating, regardless of the holiday season. Past holiday seasons with excessive food indulgences were not as happy as how I live now. I invite you to live your best life too, as reflected in healthy eating for the rest of the year.

Finnish blogging buddy Satu and I worked out details of January Jeans Club 2014, to make
sure that we got this right. Yes, January Jeans Club 2014 is International in its organizers and members! We're already thinking thoughts about
January 2014? That's what people with long-term visions for themselves
do! And we ask you to join with us.

January Jeans Club 2014:
Being a Member of January Jeans Club 2014 means that *you*
make a personal pledge to yourself (or you can do it publicly--your choice) that you will make daily decisions
that factor into your long-term plan to look good in January 2014.
Impulsive diets come and go, but a long-term plan is gold.
Specifically, this means that *you* remain committed to keeping *your* long-term
vision for yourself whenever a holiday or any potentially indulgent day
approaches. The very reason it is "January" Jeans Club, and not some
other month, is because January is right after the tri-holiday eating
season of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. If you are a person of another faith, you are welcome too. Every holiday has the
potential to quickly un-do all of our weight progress we worked so hard for--but only if we let it. We won't let it, right?
We had many successful January Jeans Club 2013 members who gained no weight--not even a pound--during the tri-holiday eating season of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas 2012. Some of us actually lost weight! You can do this too. You can have a successful end-of-the-year.
In January Jeans Club 2014, nobody is excluded from invitation or success. We do not care if you weigh much more than you admit to anyone. *You* are personally entitled to have a long-term vision of success for yourself. We want you to succeed, no matter what your starting point.
January Jeans Club is a more light-hearted way of looking at
long-term fitness and weight management. It is easier and more fun to
take off and keep off weight if you think about how great you look with a slimmer body in blue jeans, workout clothes, shorts, etc...
Feel free to suggest January Jeans Club 2014 on your blogs to your readers or on Facebook. We are stronger together. Let's show our strength.Time is of the Essence!
How long did it take you to
lose that last 10 pounds? Perhaps two months or even longer? Do you want to undo
all of that hard work? You can. I've done that
so. many. times. I've easily gained back 10 pounds during holidays. Learn from my mistakes and commit to a long-term vision for yourself.

Please join. This year, Satu
designed 2 different blog badges. One badge involves the behind of a model,
but the other involves just words.
The second was added this year because we felt that men, some people
with quite a bit of weight to lose, or people are more "proper" might feel
fairly preposterous with a model's booty on their blog. We get that. Pick the badge that suits you best.

Here are the badges to copy and paste to your blog. Thanks, Satu, for your work on this project.

For November-December, I will blog about ideas to *not* overeat during the holiday season. Recently, someone told me, "Marion, you don't understand. Some of us have to make this holiday food [that is high in calories]." So *not* true! All of us make choices about what we cook and what we eat every single day. Just because our modern culture and society advocates overeating doesn't mean that we have to do that. We can think for ourselves! We can make better and healthier decisions. We can make our dreams come true.

What do *you* think? Please commit today. And, as usual, add whatever comments you want to say.

:-) Marion
